Arrest papers: Man goes to appalling lengths to end a pregnancy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) A man allegedly went to horrifying lengths to rid himself of a child he did not want.

An arrest affidavit for 23-year-old Ahmed Almesbahi outline the gruesome ways he allegedly tried to end his partner's pregnancy.

According to the arrest papers, Almesbahi got a knife and started cutting into her stomach, telling her he was going to "take it out." He then, the affidavit continues, used items like a shishkebab skewer, corkscrew and a fork to induce an abortion.

The victim lost the baby the next day. Almesbahi allegedly had her take a photo afterwards.

Police say Almesbahi told them he was not ready for the commitment of starting a family.

Almesbahi is currently out of jail on a $150,000 bond. He is charged with sexual assault and unlawful termination of a pregnancy.

UCCS, where Almesbahi is a mechanical engineering student, has banned him from the campus until further notice, our partners at The Gazette report.
