Armed robbery in northeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police say a man took off with an entire cash register drawer after robbing a Colorado Springs business in the northeast part of the city Friday night.

Just before 8 p.m., police say a white man walked into a business in the 9200 block of N. Union Boulevard near Briargate Parkway. He was reportedly armed with a knife and silver handgun. The suspect removed the cash drawer after forcing it open with the knife and then took off on foot.

Officers searched the area but weren't able to find the suspect. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male standing 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, black jacket, blue jeans and a white t-shirt.
