30 homes evacuated in Fountain due to gas line leak

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV) - Thirty homes were evacuated Tuesday morning after a gas line was hit in an alley near a Fountain neighborhood.

The gas line was located in an alleyway behind Walnut near Main Street. The homes were evacuated as a precaution. The reverse 911 call was sent out late Tuesday morning and lifted by early in the afternoon.

Most if not all of the houses were located on Walnut.

Black Hills Energy says the line was not hit by one of their workers but did not elaborate.
