AZTEC, N.M. (AP) - Two students and a third person are dead following a shooting at a high school in a small northern New Mexico town Thursday morning.

Sister station KRQE out of Albuquerque, citing state police, is reporting the third person dead is the shooter.

The gunman opened fire at Aztec High School mid-morning. Authorities said they had cleared all the buildings at the school and that students were boarding buses to another location where they could be reunited with their parents.

The school is in the Four Corners region and is near the Navajo Nation.

This is a developing story and we will update as we learn more.
