$200,000 worth of marijuana seized from Falcon , arrest made

FALCON, Colo. (KKTV) - Authorities seized dozens of marijuana plants from a home in Falcon on Wednesday.

The home is just west of Meridian Ranch Elementary School and in the 1200 block of Mt. Belford Way. About 66 plants and 20 pounds of processed marijuana were seized. Authorities at the scene told 11 news the estimated street value is about $200,000.

“The vast majority of the ground in El Paso County for drug trafficking organizations are tied to a whole host of other illegal activity," said Lt. Bill Huffor with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. "The associated crime that comes with illegal marijuana cultivation is why we do this.”

Robert Quien was arrested in the bust. Authorities didn't immediately announce the specific charges he's facing.
