U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (KKTV) - People in the Springs area Thursday are urged to look skyward -- and also cover their ears.

The Air Force Academy will be conduct two scheduled flyovers, one late morning and one late afternoon.

According to a news release from the academy, a U-2 Dragon Lady will take to the skies first and do a single flyover at 11 a.m. The U-2 Dragon Lady is described as a high-altitude, all-weather surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft.

If you miss the first flyover, a B-1B Lancer, a long-range heavy bomber, will conduct another pass between 4 and 5 p.m.

The show will be impressive -- but also very loud. The AFA warns anyone living in neighborhoods nearby can expect a lot of noise during this time.
