COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - On January 18, in the span of 40 minutes, four robbers struck two convenience stores on the east side of Colorado Springs.

Police believe the same suspects are involved in both crimes. On Friday afternoon, police released a surveillance photo of one suspect.

The first robbery was reported at 3:17 a.m. on the 2300 block of Hancock Expressway. The men barged into the store and demanded cash from the clerk. After getting what they came for, they ran off. At least one of the robbers was carrying a knife, but did not harm anyone in the store.

The clerk told police all of the men were wearing masks or otherwise had their faces covered.

Less than 40 minutes later and 13 miles away, the same robbers struck again. This time, they grabbed cigarettes and liquor from the store in addition to demanding cash. As with the first robbery, the suspects all hid their faces behind masks.

The second robbery happened just before 4 a.m. on the 6400 block of Source Center Point.

Anyone with information on one or both crimes is asked to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-7000, or remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
