2 arrested after shots are heard in downtown Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Two men are facing charges for driving drunk and shooting a gun out of a car.

Officers on overnight patrol duty in downtown Springs heard the shots firing off near the intersection of Pikes Peak Avenue and Nevada Avenue around 1:40 Sunday morning. They quickly tracked down the alleged shooter, a 24-year-old man sitting in a parked car by the intersection with two other occupants. No victims were ever located.

Suspect Devin Cockrell was taken into custody, along with 41-year-old driver Jay Cho, who was suspected of being drunk.

The third person in the vehicle was not taken into custody.
