Summer break from school is upon us. Here are some great ideas to help keep your children busy over the next several months.
Your children can earn a free book by joining the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program. They simply read any eight books and keep track of them in their free reading journal to claim their book. You can also download a parent activity kit to enjoy with your child. It's a great way to keep their brains from turning to mush and receive a cool reward. Borders offers a similar program in which children must read 10 books to claim a free one. As we've also mentioned before, many local library systems have Summer reading programs as well.
Here's an opportunity for your children to bowl for free all Summer long. AMF Bowling Centers will give each of your children two free games per day. The participating lanes found online are in Denver. This deal might make a fun addition to your day trips there. Some age restrictions may apply.
Your children can enjoy a free "Learn to Swim Day" in Colorado Springs. It's happening at three locations this Saturday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to11 a.m. Your youngsters can learn a new skill to fill hours of their summer break. It's sponsored by the Colorado Springs Swim School.
