Two Colorado Springs nurseries are offering free trees in honor of Arbor Day. Phelan Gardens is offering free seedlings to children who complete a fun scavenger hunt on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28. Harding Nursery is giving away free seedlings to all ages on Saturday, April 28. Its customers will also enjoy free hot dogs and sodas.

Blue Star Recyclers is offering a deal to help with your spring cleaning. It will take your paints, batteries, mattresses and much more on Saturday, April 28 for a mere $5 per vehicle. It's happening at the UCCS parking lot on North Nevada Avenue, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. We have a list of what you can recycle, the limits, and what's excluded at the link provided.

The Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District opens its Spring Book Sale to the public on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. It's at the East Library, on North Union Boulevard.

Here's a "Here's The Deal" web exclusive for you. Bring your 4-year old to your local public library, participating health clinic, or event to pick up your family’s copy of "Maybe A Bear Ate It!" It's available through April 29 in both English and Spanish versions. The giveaway is part of an initiative by the state of Colorado to increase literacy.
