Children in the 8th grade and under are invited to a free sports camp at the U.S. Air Force Academy on Saturday, February 5th, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Cadet athletes and coaches will instruct kids in soccer, basketball, and volleyball at the cadet gym. No registration is required and each participating child receives a t-shirt.
After the camp, the participating child and all accompanying family members will receive free admission to an Air Force basketball game at 2 p.m. Also, fans wearing pink will receive free admission in support of breast cancer awareness.
You can prepare your child for warmer weather with a free swim lesson on Saturday. February 5th. The Cottonwood Creek Recreation Center is offering a free "learn to swim" lesson from 11 a.m. until noon. There are also free water fitness classes and free food and prizes.
The Western Museum of Mining and Industry is offering free admission to active military members for the entire month of February. It's even knocking a dollar off admission for the family members of active military members who visit.
