Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
The U.S. National Park Service is offering its last "fee-free" weekend beginning Friday, November 11 though Sunday, November 13. You can enjoy admission to any national park in the country, including the 17 sites listed in Colorado. Explore the Florissant Fossil Beds or Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado, or take a weekend adventure to Yellowstone.
Friday, November 11 is Veterans Day. Many restaurants and businesses are honoring our active duty military and veterans with free offers. For instance, Applebee's, Chili's and Champps are just three of the restaurants offering free food to those who've served. Each has different times and different requirements to claim your food, and you'll want to make sure to call your local restaurant to make sure it's participating.
Golden Corral is offering a free "Military Appreciation Dinner" on Monday, November 14, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. No military I.D. is required for that meal.
