The Happy Apple Farm begins its autumn celebration on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16. Enjoy free hayrides, sample apples right off the trees, and bring a picnic lunch or let the farm fix lunch for you. You can also pick your own apples, produce, or pumpkins right out of the fields. Admission is free and it's located right off of Highway 115 in Penrose. The farm is open every weekend until Halloween.
Head to downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, September 15 for a giant festival that asks the even bigger question, "What if?" The "What If Festival of Innovation and Imagination" features more than 100 interactive booths and experiences, along with six performance stages. It runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. It's for all ages and is absolutely free.
Single moms will be treated to free oil changes, a car wash and barbecue on Saturday, September 15th. It's happening from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Mueller's Auto, located on 1509 E. 19th Street in Pueblo. It's sponsored by Mueller's, Fellowship of the Rockies Church and Pueblo Dodge. You do need to register, and it's first come-first served. Call the church office at 719-544-5000 to sign up.
