Bring two sets of your old holiday lights to the Colorado Springs Utilities location at 2855 Mesa Road and CSU will give you two LED strings of lights for absolutely free. It's only happening on Saturday, December 1 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
You and yours can enjoy free ice skating in Acacia Park. It begins Saturday, December 1 and lasts through December 9. Skating is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and every other day of the week from noon until 8 p.m. Free skate rental is also available.
You can shop, dine, and enjoy everything downtown Colorado Springs has to offer without feeding the meter, every Saturday in December. Free parking is yours for the taking beginning December 1.
Here's a great family event also happening on Saturday, December 1. The Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum is hosting its annual Children's Holiday Magic event from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Children can make crafts, write letters to Santa, and even mail them for free right there! The entire family can enjoy live performances and other activities.
And don't forget this downtown Colorado Springs holiday tradition. The Festival of Lights Parade is Saturday, December 1. It begins promptly at 5:50pm. Come early to get a great view.
