The government says we should change our furnace filters every month, during the year following the Waldo Canyon fire. Those filters grab many of the nasty things in the air that make us uncomfortable or sick. Ace Hardware stores in Colorado Springs are giving away free furnace filters while supplies last. Quantities are limited, so you might want to act fast.
Fazoli's italian restaurants are offering a free meal to kids from August 15 until August 19. The offer is for youngsters 12 and under. Children will receive one free meal for every adult entree purchased.
Attention Starbucks fans: the treat receipt is back! Just return to Starbucks after 2 p.m. with your receipt from your morning purchase and you'll receive a 16-ounce grande cold beverage for just $2. Make sure to make sure your favorite location is participating.
It's an anniversary party, but we're getting the presents. You can enjoy free admission to the Florissant Fossil Beds on Saturday, August 18. Children can earn a junior ranger badge or patch, while everyone can hike the trails and take in a concert in the afternoon. The free day celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Friends of the Florissant Fossil Beds.
