It seems everyone is getting out and enjoying these warmer temperatures. Here are some free activities that will help you spring into this Summer-like weather.
You can enjoy free admission to any National Park this Saturday and Sunday, June 5th and 6th. Head to the Florissant Fossil Beds, Rocky Mountain National Park. the Great Sand Dunes or any of 8 National Parks in our state for free.
June 5th and 6th is also a "Free Fishing Weekend" in Colorado. That's a good deal when you consider a license runs $26 a year. Head to any public waters, or take your children to a free fishing clinic at Quail Lake in southwest Colorado Springs on Saturday, June 5th. The Colorado Division of Wildlife is sponsoring Saturday's event, and the first 500-children receive a free rod and reel.
If you'd like to enjoy nature in a more controlled environment, enjoy a free day at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on Friday, June 4th. You'll stroll through collections of plants from around the world and the free admission will save a family of four more than $40.
