It's the season for green lawns and getting our landscaping up to par, before its all covered with snow again.
You can get free mulch for your next landscaping project from the city of Colorado Springs. There are three sites where you can pick it up, including Memorial Park. You can find all the sites by visiting springsgov.com and searching for "free mulch."
After all that landscaping, what do you do with your yard waste like branches and leaves?
Take them to Rocky Top Resources located at 1755 E. Las Vegas Street. They'll take it off your hands for just a canned good donation to Care and Share. Rocky Top's phone number is 579-9103.
After all that yard work, take a breather and head to a farmers' market for your produce.
Several are already open on different days of the week. Head to Memorial Park on Monday, America the Beautiful Park on Wednesday, and choose from four different markets in the Springs on Saturday. Save money and savor that fresh produce. You can find a list of all farmers' markets in Colorado Springs by visiting springsgov.com and searching for "farmers' markets."
The farmers' market at the Riverwalk in Pueblo kicks off June 25th, and will feature live performances each week.
