Museums across the nation are throwing open their doors for free on Saturday, September 25th, for National Museum Day. That includes eleven museums in the Pikes Peak region, including the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Dinosaur Depot Museum in Canon City, Miramont Castle and many more. Several across the state are taking part. You can print your free ticket online.

You can get into every national park in Colorado and the country for absolutely free this Saturday to celebrate National Public Lands Day. There are 17 national parks in Colorado, including the Florissant Fossil Beds and the Great Sand Dunes in our area.

If you do decide to stay home and do some yard work, this is your last weekend to grab some free mulch. The El Paso County Black Forest Mulch Program has a surplus, but you must pick it up Saturday, September 25th. It's a great way to prepare your soil for winter. Just come by between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and load it up.
