With Christmas right around the corner, local non-profits are joining forces to make sure everyone has a happy holiday.

Seven non-profits know the downturn in the economy will leave some without. So, the agencies America's Family, Christmas Unlimited, Lighthouse Mobile Ministries, The Salvation Army, Springs Rescue Mission, Teens With Promise and Pikes Peak United Way are joining forces to spread some cheer.

A director with The Salvation Army says by collaborating with other agencies we can better maximize our donor dollars in order to serve the greatest number of people.

If you want to help donate to make the holiday season a little brighter call 955-0742.
