Kids from Colorado Springs took part in National Green Week February 2-8, 2008.

The Green Education Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Colorado Springs that provides educational resources to teach kids across the country a 'green' way of life.

More than 250,000 students across the nation took part in National Green Week, a free environmental awareness campaign. During this week students demonstrate that making simple changes, like selecting waste-free snacks and drinks, can make a significant difference to the environment.

Wal-Mart just recently donated $25,000 towards the growth of the campaign. It is with this donation money that National Green Week hopes to reach more than one million children across the country.
