Cookie Lovers Unite! Girl Scouts across the state are once again selling their delicious cookies.

And you can place your orders now. Sales began at 7:00 a.m., Friday, January 9.

Two local Girl Scouts stopped by KKTV to talk about the new cookies they’re debuting. Brandi from Troop 112 and Haley from Troop 199 joined the crew on 11News This Morning. They said to look for Sugar Free Chocolate Chip Cookies and Dulce de Leche caramel cookies this year, along with all your classic favorites such as Thin Mints and Samoas.

When you buy Girl Scout cookies, it’s important to note that you’re not just satisfying your sweet tooth. You’re also helping local troops in a bigger mission.

The cookies serve as the girls’ biggest fundraiser. It helps support their troop activities and service projects in the local community.

One particular project, called the Hometown Heroes Program, honors all of our community heroes, including our military as well as uniformed personnel like police officers and firefighters.

So, help out our local Girl Scouts and get your favorite box of cookies today!

I agree purchasing Girl Scout cookies for a few dollars is a great investment in the future of our girls. The cookies are good as well. The girls get to learn a lot about themselves and the community.

Girl Scout Cookies have actually been the same price for a few years now. Even if the package is a little smaller, every package supports a great organization and girls who are learning about courage, confidence and character and making the world a better place. So, I think it is more than a box of cookies. It's an investment in the future of the girls and our communities!
