Senior citizens in need of oral care will have the chance to get it Thursday and Friday thanks to an award-winning local non-profit organization.

Senior Mobile Dental is collaborating with the Colorado Springs Senior Center to set up a mobile clinic on site.

The charity organization was started in 2007 as a response to the growing oral health crisis among senior citizens, many who are under-privileged or do not have the resources to get to a clinic. It has sent won nine awards for its services.

On Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., senior citizens who have not been receiving oral health care due to financial or transportation difficulties can set up an appointment. There will also be an appointment in October for those who miss this week's opportunities.

For more information or to make an appointment, call 719-338-2195 or visit the website. The Colorado Springs Senior Center is located at 1514 N. Hancock.
