Walking With Dinosaurs "The Arena Spectacular"
Jan 21, 2009 - Jan 24, 2010 *Contact for Times **
World Arena
Dinosaurs return to the earth in WALKING WITH DINOSAURS - The Arena Spectacular! The show is based on the award-winning BBC Television Series and brought to life by Immersion Edutainment. WALKING WITH DINOSAURS – The Arena Spectacular continues its record-breaking North American tour through 2008!
Seventeen roaring, snarling "live" dinosaurs mesmerize the audience and are as awe-inspiring as when they first walked the earth. The stars of the show include Tyrannosaurus Rex, Utahraptor, Stegosaurus, and the largest of them, the Brachiosaurus, which is 36 feet tall and 56 feet long from nose to tail.
The show depicts the dinosaurs' evolution spanning their entire 200 million year reign. The history of the world is played out with almost cinematic realism, including scenes of the daily interactions between dinosaurs. You will see how carnivorous dinosaurs evolved to walk on two legs, and how the herbivores fended off their more agile predators.
With a $20-million dollar budget, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS is a dazzling arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality. Don't miss this exciting show that is sure to entertain and captivate the entire family!

If you have given birth before, please feel free to pick and choose the classes you would like to be "refreshed" on, only $30 per class! Also ask about the discounts that are available for my current doula clients, active military and low income families.

Smokebrush Gallery
Join us First Friday, November 6 from 5pm-8pm for the opening reception of The Most Essential Is Invisible, featuring all new artwork by Bulgarian artist Encho Avramov. The exhibition continues through November 25.
Bulgarian born artist, Encho Avramov, infuses his new body of paintings with dramatic character by contrasting contemporary Byzantine iconography with abstract expressionism and conceptualism. The result is a dialogue between paintings pondering visual existence versus visual absence.
Mr. Avramov, studied in two of the most prestigious fine art schools in Europe: The National Fine Art Academy (NHA) in Sofia, Bulgaria and The Academy of Muses (AMU) in Prague, Czech Republic. As a visual artist he was trained in classic disciplines and techniques including egg tempera, oil, mixed media, and more. He also works within the fields of computer graphics, kinetic objects, installations, and art in public places. His paintings range in style from the expressive drips of abstract expressionism to the symbolic precision of Byzantine iconography. His contemporary artwork has appeared in exhibitions in private galleries and collections in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Norway, England, France, Japan, Cuba and USA. As an award winning set /costume designer Mr Avramov has designed more than 75 productions for puppet, drama, opera and dance theatres in Europe and USA. His theatrical background informs his present work, making it fresh, unpredictable, humorous and poetic.
