Colorado Attorney General John Suthers won a default judgement against a mother and son telemarketing operation for nearly $4-million.
Cora and Raymond Jones have been ordered to pay back close to 5,000 victims in Colorado.
The Jones and their employees reportedly made calls from March of 2007 until May of this year.
We're told they found victims off of mailing lists of people who had ordered magazines before.
They would then impersonate those magazine companies to get bank account or credit card information. They reportedly took anywhere from $350 to $1,300 per victim.
According to Attorney General Suthers their bank accounts have been frozen, they've been ordered to shut down their four companies, and stop selling magazines over the phone.
If you believe you're one of those 5,000 victims call the Colorado Attorney General's hotline at 1-800-222-4444.
