Our Call for Action office got two identical calls about this scam from viewers so we know crooks are targeting Colorado Springs right now.

The voice on the other end has a foreign accent and claims to work for Microsoft.

The stranger explains that your computer is infected and offers to help get rid of the virus if you follow his instructions.

But don't fall for it. Even though they're smooth talkers, these guys only want to download your personal data and steal your information.

To make things worse they'll also ask you to pay them $300 for a protection plan.

Remember this, Microsoft will never, ever call you and tell you... your computer's infected. So tell the guys who bother you on the phone to get lost.
