We've been hearing from scores of people who are complaining about calls they're getting from a company called Total Home Services.

The person on the line says a roofer has either driven by their home and noticed they have damage or that an expert is in the neighborhood and can inspect their roof.

We've been told these calls are not local. They're reportedly with a telemarketing company in Mexico and they're trying to set up appointments for out of state roofers.

The caller ID number reads out like it's a local call, but it isn't.

Bottom line, hire an established, local roofing company, One who will be around if you need them later.

Check them out with Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. One phone call or check online can tell you if they're licensed to do business here and ensure that they have liability insurance if someone's injured on your property.

If they aren't licensed don't consider them, period.

We talked to Total Roofing, a Colorado Springs business and owner Scott McIntyre told her that his company is not related to Total Home Services even though their names are similar.

There is also a Total Home Services located in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, but the owner tells us he only does business locally in North Carolina.
