Two million baby bathers are being recalled. There’s a problem with the frame that can cause it to collapse.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Mother’s Touch/Deluxe Baby Bathers are being recalled. They’re made by Summer Infant Inc., of Woonsocket, R.I.
There are seven reports in the U.S. and Canada of the problem. In five of the reports the infants suffered head injuries from falls from the bathers. The CPSC says when the bather is lifted or carried with a baby inside the folding wire frame can disengage from the side hinge, causing the baby to fall out of the bather.
