This motor vehicle award registration really grabs you because it looks like a car title.
It has your name and address on it as well as a description of the vehicle... A 2007 Hyundai Accent worth about $15,000.
But if you read this notice carefully you'll see you haven't won a thing.
A Monument woman received this letter and thought it was too good to be true... and it is.
She didn't win a car or cash value of the car... or a diamond ring, a digital camera... or anything else mentioned.
I learned this notice has fooled folks in New York as well as Nevada and Washington.
It requires you to mail back 20-dollars to get the details but if you turn over the letter... the fine print spells it out. Your odds of actually winning the car, diamond jewelry, or digital camera is one in a million.
One giveaway... the so-official looking return envelope has "PMB"... or personal mail box for its' address... meaning the money you send in doesn't go to an office... just a place that rents mailboxes.
Remember... if you really won something you wouldn't have to pay anything upfront to receive it.
Yes, taxes are due later... but they go to Uncle Sam not to someone's personal mailbox.
Always read the fine print and if have any questions feel free to make a Call For Action.
