Renter's Insurance is Vital

In just a matter of minutes... thousands of dollars worth of furniture, electronics, clothing, and other valuables... were incinerated.
Tenants of the Castle West Apartments are thankful to be alive... but many like Tammy Tedillo didn't have any kind of personal property protection against this fiery inferno.
Tammy says, "We lost everything and family's been great... but it's very hard and we don't know what's going to happen from here. We lost pictures and just different know."
The Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association says... less than half of all tenants have Renter's Insurance.
Yet... the average person has 20 to $30,000 worth of stuff... belongings they'd want replaced... if they went up in flames.
Renter's Insurance would cover those items and also pay for living expenses and food... while displaced.
What most folks don't realize is just how affordable it is.
Joe Blitz with State Farm Insurance.
Joe says, "It's very inexpensive. It usually costs between $10 and $20 a month and if you combine it with your car insurance.... it even gives you a discount lots of times."
Renter's Insurance also covers belongings lost from lightning, windstorm, vandalism, and theft.
For about the price of a night out at the movies... tenants can replace their valuables if they're torched.
It's peace of mind... considering statistics show more than 94,000 apartments are consumed by fire in the U.S. every year.
