I forgot to mention that if you paid with a credit card, you can dispute the charges. This will at least temporarily reverse the charges, you can do this at the same time you are suing them in small claims. Also give the attorney general office a call. There is a motor vehicle repair act, if your shops failed to give you writen estimates or get your approval then you simply go to small claims and show they have violated the act. Inform yourself. Once they learn you are suing on legal grounds and know your consumer rights, they will buckle and pay. Good luck!

You can take them to small claims court, and represent your self, you don't need an attorney. I suggest you google about the lemow laws in colorado and see if the apply to repairs. Does the shop warrant the work? if so, you could say they did not honor the warranty by refusing to re-examine the car. If you have good documentation, receipts and a timeline of dates you should be OK in small claims! I suggest to sit in there for a half day and listen to other cases and get used to how it works. Someone Please Help Me!!! I have been paying local car service repair shop and dealership to fix one problem with I thought would be one solution, but i been getting charged for multiple other problems that have nothing to do with the original problem and one shop even admitted guessing and checking the what the problem is and its costing me tons of money that I dont have but I cant lose my only mode of transportation. I have tried multiple times to get refunds for the problems the shops have fixed that they said would fix my problem. One manager told me after i couldn't take the car back to them to re correct their diagnosis that I cant afford a lawyer and there is nothing I can do. That is half correct I cant afford it. I have been taken advantage of and i have been trying and trying to get the shops to fix what i paid them to find and fix or a refund for the unnecessary work. Can someone please help me for i feel completely helpless and I am sure i am not the only one. Thank you
