Email Scam Targets El Paso, Teller Counties

The 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office has confirmed an email scam that claims the recipient is the target of a hit, is a scam.
The email is very threatening in nature and comes from Don Vanuchi at pentagrampower@charter.net. The subject line reads "Notification Letter….. Read Carefully and Get Back To Me," and tells the recipient that someone has paid the sender to kill them unless they get paid off.
The email also warns them not to contact the police or the killing will extend to the recipient's family.

The 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office has confirmed, through the FBI, that this threat is a Nigerian scam.

If you receive this email, you are urged to file an on-line complaint with the FBI by visiting www.ic3.gov.
