General Electric is recalling several appliances due to a fire danger. Included in the recall are the GE combination microwave oven and the conventional built-in-wall oven.

The appliances were sold under the brand names GE, GE Profile and Kenmore between January 2000 and December 2003.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says a faulty switch on the door could cause a fire.

Consumers are aked to stop using the appliances immediately and to contact GE for repairs or to receive a rebate.

If you have one of the recalled products, you can call General Electric for more information at 1-888-240-2745.
