Another Week of Severe Storms...

Areas along and east of the MS River has been absolutely hammered by severe weather this month.  April has already recorded more tornadoes than any other April in history.  Here is how it compares statistically:

With a few more days to go, and more severe weather on the way, this will no doubt be an April that will be hard to touch in future years.  In fact, check out the next two days:

The above graphic shows who is under the gun for Tuesday.  Notice the 45% hatched area around Arkansas, northwest Mississippi, and southwest Tennessee.  More tornadic action likely with the new storms that form late morning Tuesday.

The above graphic is the outlook for severe weather on Wednesday.  Again, notice the 45% hatched area that extends from central Alabama to eastern Kentucky.  This will again mean more bad weather for those areas, with large tornadoes possible.

The main energy with this system will swing east on Thursday, and there will likely be more severe weather in the Carolinas.  April is almost over, but an active May is anticipated.  I am sure we will be talking severe weather again real soon...
