This won't be a classic March blizzard, but it will produce some snow, wind, and much colder temperatures. In fact, all of those in combination will make Friday pretty nasty. This will be one of those storms that will short Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City. Yup, you guessed it. There will be a strong north wind, which usually limits much snow from occurring in those areas. However, some areas will get some decent snow. Check the graphic below:
Notice the darker purple and white shaded areas. Those will be the areas most likely to see the heaviest snow. It is a little early for specific totals, but we will get those out tomorrow. Travel will likely be kind of tough in the mountains and over the Palmer Divide on Friday. Snow will likely continue for those same favored areas on Friday night and possibly linger into early Saturday morning. This will be a cold storm too, with highs only in the 30's for Friday and Saturday.
After such a nice week of weather, it stinks this has to mess up the first part of the weekend...
