A strong storm will move through Colorado onTuesday. This storm is fast moving, and will target the mountains with the worst weather. However, the Eastern Slope will also see some wintry weather. The best energy arrives early Tuesday morning, and is gone by Noon. The timeframe from 5am to 10am will likely contain the heaviest snow, along the I-25 Corridor. Then the focus for snow will shift on to the Plains. However, the afternoon will contain the strongest wind. North to northwest winds could exceed 35 mph on Tuesday afternoon, creating a lot of blowing and drifting snow. This snow is light, fluffy, powdery, and will be blown around very effectively. Oh yeah, it's going to be cold too...lol. All in all, Tuesday just doesn't look very nice. Summary graphics below...
