October 5th, 2009: While most of this week doesn't look too bad, some pretty chilly air is looming in Canada. Using the EURO Model, we'll take you through Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Saturday's Model Projection:
Notice the blue colors plunging into heart of the country. While we will be on the western side of the cold air, it still looks to impact us with chilly temperatures. Upsloping winds could also produce some snow showers too... Sunday's Model Projection:
Cold air holding strong and banked up next to the mountains. The core of the Canadian High Pressure is still oozing south along the lee side of the Rockies. Monday's Model Projection:
By Monday, the core of the High Pressure system is on top of us. This means Monday should still be pretty chilly. However, the High should then slide to our east and southeast and allow for warmer weather to return by Tuesday. We'll continue to follow the progression of this cold air and possibly some snow, and update you throughout the week. Chief Meteorologist Brian Bledsoe |
