Clearly, we haven't erased the serious drought across the Southeast Plains. Rains during the months of August and September did help to alleviate the extreme conditions. However the early Fall has been quite dry, with only spotty good rains. The storm that is coming in this weekend will provide some rain, for some folks. However, moisture is lacking and it doesn't look like we will see a steady soaking rain. It will likely be spotty in the form of showers and a few t-storms. Anything will be welcome though, as we enter another dry stretch next week.
