After such a dry Summer, it was so nice to see a three day soaking rain. Strange as it may sound, we haven't gotten back to normal. However, we have come a long way during the month of August.
August Rain Totals Through the 17th:
Denver: 4.03" ( still 4" below normal )
Colorado Springs: 4.01" ( still 5.7" below normal )
Pueblo: 2.7" ( still .89" below normal )
Alamosa: 1.04" ( still 1.2" below normal )
La Junta: 2.53"
Goodland, KS: 5.6" ( still 2.68" below normal )
Some areas of northern El Paso County have had up to 10" of rain for the month. Everyone is not picking up equal amounts of rain every day. However, everyone has seen some rain lately and it has helped a ton. Most of this week is looking dry and warmer, for those of you that don't like the rain.
