For a third straight year College Football's Harris Poll has extended me an invitation to be a Top 25 voter (1 of 114 in the country). I am honored to be trusted with such a huge responsibility. It's a role I am passionate about and take very seriously as the Harris Poll is a huge part of the BCS equation that determines who plays for a National Championship. I will continue to make my votes public on this blog site. Check in each Sunday morning to see how I voted. Feel free to leave your thoughts, praise and/or criticisms in the "comment" feature on this page. Again, no change in my top three this week. However, TCU continues to creep up into the penthouse of college football. The Horned Frogs stomped San Diego State in what many thought would be a "trap" game for TCU... Not the case at all! The Frogs put up 55 points in a blowout win over the Aztecs. If I'm Florida, Texas or Alabama... I would want no part of the Frogs in a one game, winner-take-all bowl. Iowa lost its quarterback and its shot at a national title. The Hawks drop from #4 to #11 this week setting up a Big 10 showdown with #12 Ohio State for the Big 10 title this Saturday. Oregon fell victim to Stanford on Saturday but I'm not dropping the Ducks from #8 this week. I'm sure many voters will be quick to drop Oregon below USC this week. How can that happen? The Ducks proved without a doubt they are a BETTER team than the Trojans. Both teams have identical records with Oregon winning the head-to-head meeting. I also think Oregon would beat Iowa, Ohio State, Utah (they did beat the Utes earlier this season), etc.... I will not rank the Ducks below teams I think the would beat on a neutral field. With that said, they stay at #8 this week, dispite the loss to Stanford.

bill... common sense has to prevail at times too. VA-Tech has three losses, Miami has two. We are also seven weeks removed from that game. The Hokies have not looked very good for a few weeks. The system is not perfect. Voting is very subjective which is unfair to many teams. I am in favor of the playoff system and would love to get rid of the voting all together. I didn't pick this system, I just do as I am asked to do. College football is so popular because fans like you... who are passionate about the game. I appreciate you paying attention to my blog/rankings. I assure you, this is NOT easy! Posted by: Bill Location: Colo So you woun't drop Oregon because they beat USC, yet they blew it against a team you didn't even have ranked last week. Then why is Miami ranked above V-Tech who killed them??? Once again a reason the BCS is BS, because of voters like you.
