Cutler and McDaniels Need To Grow Up

The QB and Head Coach can accomplish some great things TOGETHER

Leadership at the quarterback position and head coach in the NFL is paramount.

Think about it... Bill Belichick/Tom Brady, Mike Tomlin/Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning/Tony Dungy, John Elway/Mike Shanahan, the list goes on...  The quarterback and head coach HAVE to be the backbone of the team.  They lead by example and with a strong voice.  Cooperation= Super Bowls!  The two don't necessarily have to like each other, but they have to respect each other to make it work.  The problem at Dove Valley is Cutler and McDaniles don't have any respect what-so-ever for each other... because they don't trust each other.

Cutler doesn't trust McDaniels because he feels like the coach wen't behind his back and tried to trade him.

McDaniels doesn't trust Cutler becuase Jay took FOREVER to return the coache's phone calls when he was hired.  Then, Jay reportedly asked for a trade when Jeremy Bates was let go.  So why would McDaniels put his faith in a young, immature player who won't invest the time to get acquainted with his new boss.

This broken bond can be mended if the two would just GROW UP!   Cutler needs to realize that playing in the NFL is a priviledge, not a right.  He is paid very well to be dedicated to the Broncos, no matter who the head coach is.  When McDaniels was hired Jay should have been the first on the phone welcoming him to Denver.  The conversation should have gone something like this:

JAY: WELCOME TO DENVER, COACH!

JOSH: THANKS, CUT!  CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED!

JAY: SPEAKING OF WHICH, WHEN CAN I MEET YOU AT DOVE VALLEY SO WE CAN GET STARTED ON WINNING A SUPER BOWL TOGETHER?  HOW ABOUT TOMORROW MORNING?

If that would have happened from the start, the Broncos would have never been in this mess.  However, the blame doesn't totally fall on Cutler.  McDaniels needed to be a man about his problems with Jay... AND be up front with his intentions with the failed trade.  Jay deserved better.  He is the Broncos in 2009.

Here is to a new start on Monday  The two are scheduled to meet next week to hammer out their differences.  Both are very young and still learning on the job.  Let's hope they learn this:  They need each other to win a Super Bowl in Denver.  Now it's time to grow up, act like men and blossom into the champions they were born to be!

Jesse, Your a great sports caster, but McDaniels comes in here and completely changes the way the Broncos play football and has them learning the New England Patriots Championship way of playing football, look at where we are currently at this season, we are not going to make it into the playoffs thanks to Josh McDaniels. If anything Josh McDaniels needs to go! He needs to be FIRED! I don't blame Jay Cutler one bit for wanting out of Denver, and so does Mike Shanahan since he was fired, did Josh McDaniels get us into the playoffs like everyone expected he was going to do, from everyone in the sports news media, to including the Broncos Owner? This is Bronco Country, not New England Patriot Country, and look at where it got us? We're not in the playoffs, so what's in store for next season, oh! I know we'll play just like the Detroit Lions, being as we can't seem to play just like the Champion New England Patriots. I'm sorry, but Pat Bowlen needs to fire Josh McDaniels.

Xander and McDaniels started a stupid and unnecessary war by failing to (when Team X called about a trade, as the management tell it) immediatelyt call Jay and say, "No Way, Jay". They didn't. For those of you who are whiners and call Jay a whiner, I ask you if you could play QB for a professional team and not complain. Jay did. I know a lot about Type 1 Diabetes since it was a major factor in my father's death and because, at 60, I am still at risk to contract the disease. Cicago got the best of the trade. The Broncos no longer have a pro quality QB on the roster. As a fan since 1960, I am very disappointed. Go Bears!

Keep Cutler and McDaniels for his stupidity. He has screwed up bigger than Shannahan ever did. Cutler will make us pay for years to come everytime we play him. I for one probably won't even watch the donkies until this joke of a coach is gone!! I am dissapointed with the way Cutler has acted but we need him as out QB.

Jesse, the Denver Broncos need to stop this fiasco between McDaniels and Cutler, and give Cutler what he wants, trade him either to Tampa Bay or to the New York Jets, who are both intrested in a trade deal for Cutler.

With this fiasco between Josh McDaniels and Jay Cutler, and after Jay asking to be traded, both Pat Bowlen the owner of the Denver Broncos and the New Head Coach of the Denver Broncos Josh McDaniels should honor Jay's request to be traded and trade him, being as Josh McDaniels is still really animate about trying to get Matt Cassel as his starting quarterback in Denver away from the Kansas City Chiefs, and sounds like Jos McDaniels will do just about anything to make this happen, from what I'm hearing on ESPN

On top of trying to trade Cutler, Josh lied about it. What does that tell you about the new coach?
