Jesse Kurtz's Top 25 Poll - Sunday, October 5th

Four Big 12 teams, three SEC teams dominate my top ten for another week.

Not much to write about this week.  Very little change in my Top 25.   USC creeps back into the Top 10 after a dominating win over Oregon.  The Trojans leap frog idle Georgia.  The Bulldogs drop one spot to #10 this week.  The Dawgs have a rebound game this week against Tennessee on KKTV at 1:30 next Saturday before they get upstart Vanderbilt on October 18th.

Speaking of Vandy.  Jay Cutler is beaming with pride after the Commodores knocked off Auburn for the school's first 5-0 start since 1943.  They are the biggest mover in my poll, from #19 to #14.

The Red River Showdown (or shootout, or rivalry or whatever they're calling it this year) will be Spectacular to say the least.  #1 Oklahoma vs #5 Texas!  It will mark the first time since 2004 that both teams are ranked in the Top Five.  The Sooners will be tested to say the least.  Colt McCoy and company were very efficient Saturday night in Boulder with a 24-point win.  I can't wait for next Saturday!

Comments, criticisms???  Leave them in the comment feature at the top of the page.

Until next week, keep living the dream.... Jesse Kurtz, KKTV Sports Anchor

Jay's success has certainly helped Vanderbilt. Recruiting is much easier when you see a star player coming out of a program. All of Nashville wishes he was here as a Titan. We bought Direct Tv just to be able to see all of his games. Thanks Jay, and good luck to the Broncos!
