Jesse Kurtz's Top 25 Poll - Sunday, November 11th

LSU - Oregon National Championship??? Now that would be entertaining!

Finally!  Ohio State gave me a reason to drop them from #1.  For weeks, I voted them at the top NOT because they were the best team but because they were the most "deserving."  However, a loss to Illinois has the Buckeyes at #8 this week.  LSU and Oregon now control their destiny as far as my national championship match up goes.

Rounding out my top five are three Big 12 Schools.  I stayed up late last night to watch Kansas on Tivo and was VERY impressed.  So much so, the Jayhawks have leapfrogged West Virginia (I predicted the Mountaineers to face Oregon in the National Title Game at the beginning of the year).  I still think Missouri is a better team than Kansas.  That is why I have ranked the Tigers (despite having one loss) ahead of undefeated Kansas.  The two play each other in two weeks to decide it on the field.  I will make my final determination at that time.

Thanks for stopping by.  Leave a comment on the right side of the page!

Keep living the dream, Jesse Kurtz!

I'm okay with your Top 25 Poll but your Heisman pose is absolutely awful. I thought you were doing some sort of dance and then I realized you were trying to immitate the Heisman. I hate to say it but my five year old daughter does a better pose. Keep practicing, Jesse!

Great point! You caught me in an oversight. To answer your question... Yes, if Kansas runs the table (on Mizzou and Okla) they would vault to #2 in my poll. No doubt. I don't think that will happen, but your point is well taken. Also, I think Oklahoma is still VERY good. In fact, I could see them #1 very easily. The loss to CU was tough, but not damaging. I vote who I think is the best team in the nation, not necessarily on past performance (although that plays a big role). I think if Oklahoma lined up against LSU or Oregon they would have a great chance to win.

"LSU and Oregon control their own destiny." Are you telling me that if Kansas runs the table and takes out both Missouri and Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship they wouldn't leap frog Oregon?...and on a purely biased note, how can you put an Oklahoma team that lost to C-U in your top 3? You could say they're only a notch or two above the rams!
