It's week four of my adventure as a Top 25 voter in College Football. Last night's upset of USC by Stanford was a shocker to say the least. The Trojans were a 41-point favorite and hadn't lost at home since 2001! Unbelievable.
We now have an undisputed #1 team with LSU coming from behind to beat Florida 28-24. Cal moves up to the #2 spot by default (the Bears had a bye week). After the Tigers and Bears, there are a cluster of teams who are ranked in the top ten that still have a lot to prove. Ohio State and Boston College are undefeated, but I'm waiting for that signature win to prove they're worthy. Who would have thought South Florida would be the only team from the state of Florida to be ranked in the top 10???
As predicted, Nebraska continues to fall as does UCLA.... Teams on the move up include Missouri (25 last week, 16 this week), Illinois (Not Ranked to #20). And, for the first time, I have ranked the Colorado Buffaloes in the Top 25. I was impressed with the way they handled their business in Waco, TX against Baylor after a huge win last week over Oklahoma. That situation is always troublesome for teams. The hangover game is never easy and the Buffs delivered in a fashion that good teams should.
With that said, here is the full list of my top 25 this week:
Rank # 1: LSU Rank # 2: California (Cal) Rank # 3: Ohio State Rank # 4: Boston College Rank # 5: South Carolina Rank # 6: South Florida Rank # 7: Oregon Rank # 8: Virginia Tech Rank # 9: West Virginia Rank # 10: Oklahoma Rank # 11: USC Rank # 12: Wisconsin Rank # 13: Kentucky Rank # 14: Florida Rank # 15: Hawaii Rank # 16: Missouri Rank # 17: Arizona State Rank # 18: Texas Rank # 19: Cincinnati Rank # 20: Illinois Rank # 21: Auburn Rank # 22: Florida State Rank # 23: Kansas Rank # 24: Texas A&M Rank # 25: Colorado
