When I was hired by 11 News I was immediately told never to get too comfortable with a set schedule. In our profession we are in a constant state of flux. We cover a wide varietry of shifts, not to mention some on call nights where we can expect to be called out in the middle of the night for a breaking news story. Another aspect of what we do is working as a team and every team need a pinch hitter to fill in when anotehr team mate goes down.

Just recentlty, Joe Campobendetto our over night weekday photographer-editor who works on the morning show and runs around with Eric Lupher came down very ill and is slated to be out for about a week. So you guessed it I got the call and Im the fill in guy this week. Now anyone who knows how a photojournalist thinks, knows that we're happier when we're in the middle of breaking news or catastrophie. Being the over night photographer-editor is a little more laid back. That's not to say the job of editing the morning show is sedate, in fact there are times I wanna pull out my hair and set my feet ablaze, rather than to edit the show. But one reward is getting to run out the door with reporter Eric Lupher and cover some really fun light hearted stories.

So I guess you can say, I feel privilaged to have had the honor of covering for my fellow photographer and friend, Joe Campo.
