The drama from the last few days concerning "Balloon Boy" has been an interesting topic in the newsroom for many reasons. First, we all watched as this floating silver helium balloon was flying through the air. We were all concerned for the little boy who was said to be inside. But after it landed and there was no boy found. For many, that's where the second part of the story began. Where was Falcon? That was question on all of our minds for the next few hours. That is, until he was reportedly found hiding in a box in the attic of his home. He never took that cross-county flight we all watched live on TV. This was story unlike any other, for many of us working that day, and the story will continue as the parents keep getting questioned and we try and figure out why the Heenes allegedly faked this. Was it for publicity? Was it for gaining more attention so they could get their own TV show? |
