FIT LIFE: The Original Bachelorette - (Stacia Naquin)

Life beyond The Bachelorette is even better for Trista Sutter. She's a working wife and mom, but still makes time to workout! Here's how she's living a FIT LIFE 8500 feet up:

She starts her twitter bio like this: “Yep… the one that found her hot firefighter hubby, Ryan, on TV.” But that was just the beginning for Trista Sutter. Since her time on ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, she has carved out a life for herself in the mountains of Colorado with Ryan and is now the proud mom of two adorable kiddos. We talked with her about her busy life as a wife and mom and how she leads a FIT LIFE 8500 feet up.

Stacia: So many people know you from your time on TV, but not everyone knows you live here in CO. Why was Vail the right place for you and Ryan to start your lives together? 
 
Trista: Honestly, our location didn't matter much to me...I just wanted to be with him and he just so happened to be living in a gorgeous destination town that most people strive to vacation to...at least those that I knew before I met him!  I truly don't think he would be happier anywhere else because as I've always said...he's a mountain man.  :)

Stacia: And you've got two gorgeous kids now! Tell us about them! 
 
Trista: Max is 4 and Blakesley is 2 and they are the lights of my life.  I'm a stay at home mom, so besides the times that they are sleeping or at school, I'm usually with them.  Max is a creative, boy's-boy who loves dragons, cars, and doing just about anything outside.  Blakesley is a nurturing soul who absolutely loves books, singing songs, and taking care of her baby dolls.  I could go on and on...
 


Stacia: I imagine your lives get pretty crazy. How do you make time for your health? 
 
Trista: Really, it's just a way of life...especially when you live in Colorado and are married to a triathlete who used to play in the NFL.  I think it's about making healthy choices in terms of your diet, staying active with the kids and getting outside when we can, listening to your body when something doesn't feel right, and making sure that getting enough rest and sleep is a priority.

Stacia: What are your favorite moves to keep yourself in such great shape? 
 
Trista: Abs, tricep presses, and push-ups are my go-to moves.  I try to do them before bed just to kick start my metabolism before I hit the sack.  It may seem backward, but it works for me...at least most of the time!
 


Stacia: And living in CO, you've got some great scenery as you work out! What are your favorite  outdoor spots? 
 
Trista: SOOOO many!  The wedding deck on the top of Vail Mountain, Piney Lake and really any of their trails, and Glenwood Canyon, to name a few.  :)
 


Stacia: What's your advice for other moms out there, as they try to balance work, family AND  fitness? 
 
Trista: My 2 biggest tips are to set priorities and take advantage of any help that comes your way.
