Life happens. I know you know what I'm talking about. Work gets crazy, you're being pulled in eight different directions, your email inbox is full and, oh yeah, you're hungry! How on EARTH are you going to make time to eat?!
If you're like me, you make time by eating at your desk. That means it has to be easy AND convenient. One of my favorite snacks to grab when things get hectic like this is almonds!
You might be thinking... but aren't nuts LOADED with fat?! They do have fat. But it's healthy fat! The key is to not to over-load
I got that advice from Stephanie Mola, a personal trainer with The Gym in Denver. "9-14 almonds," she said. "I know it's not that many, but it's about portion."
If you DO have more than that handful... that's when the fat in nuts overcomes their healthiness. So just keep it in check.
Hungrier than just a few almonds? Stephanie has advice for that too! "Have them with 2 piece of low sodium string cheese," she says.
You'll satisfy that hunger AND have energy to accomplish everything you need to do, before your next meal.
