The Drowsy Chaperone (Don Ward)

Two weekends left to catch one great show!

The premise is clever, the show is hilarious and the execution is top of the line.

The character simply called "man in the chair" loves his old records of old Broadway musicals.  He explains to the audience that he's going to play one of his favorites.  As he plays his LP of the old musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone", the whole show comes to life right there in his apartment.

At times he stops the show to talk about the characters he likes, the actors who play them and even the scenes he hates!  His commentary turns the intentionally bad scene into an intentionally good one!

The humor is non-stop, the singing and dancing are top notch and the whole thing is evidence, once again, of the amazing talent that exists right here in Colorado Springs.

"The Drowsy Chaperone" runs through June 2nd at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.  Ticket information at this link.

We'll talk again soon.
