I feel like I'm a fairly confident girl.
I'm confident in my abilities. I'm confident in who I am and what I want.
But I feel like I don't even come CLOSE to the confidence I witnessed on vacation last week.
I was in South Beach. That's right - Miami, Florida. It was the very beginning of spring break and people were obviously pumped to shed their winter layers and get out in the sun.
And I witnessed a parade of people of all shapes, sizes and colors shed their layers with PRIDE! Everyone was working their swimsuit or tank top or shorts with confidence. And you know what? I thought it was awesome.
Did I see people with perfect bodies everywhere I turned? No! But that's what was so great. I saw people having a great time... not worrying about what others might think. Just having a great time!
It was so fun to see. And I think it really captured the spirit of South Beach. Life is too short to be worried about what other people think. If that's what you're worried about... there's a lot you'll miss out on. You will literally miss out on fun in the sun.
So instead of being concerned that others might not think you have the perfect body, I say - forget that. Think of the folks on South Beach, strutting their stuff in the sun and taking in each moment. We can turn that SoBe confidence into some SoCo confidence.
