New York BY Phone - Take The Boat!
On a December trip to New York I decided to see what kind of pictures I could take using just an iPhone 5. Some of them have been adjusted for brightness and/or cropped.
The best idea : Find a sightseeing boat trip that will put you on the water for sen set. This 90 minute tour was about 30 dollars. It's worth every penny top get great pics, even with a phone.
As you leave the dock in Midtown you get a nice view of the Empire State Building.
You move down river and there is Lower Manhattan, the late day sunlight really highlights the cluster of skyscrapers, including the magnificent new One World Trade Center.
A similar view a few minutes later.
As you head away you leave Lower Manhattan in your wake!
Next up, Lady Liberty. You can just see the statue in the distance here.
You also pass under the iconic Brooklyn Bridge
Wait for just the right moment to put the sun where you want it in this shot.
Finally, with the last of the light, and a little cropping after the fact.here's my favorite.
Take the boat, get the shots - even with a phone!
We'll talk again soon.
